Here we go: Housing Wharf Zirkuswiese in Korneuburg is under construction
Housing Wharf Zirkuswiese in Korneuburg marks the south-eastern entrance to the former shipyard site and is the first phase of a long-term development of the neighbourhood to be realised. The project’s special significance for the entire site is to be reflected not only in its high design quality but also in its functional qualities. Studio spaces mediate between the building and public space, whilst a green inner courtyard extends the public space into the heart of the complex, forming a green interface between the public and the complex’s residents. Within the building itself, communal spaces, multi-storey circulation areas and roof terraces with sun decks and urban gardening areas create spaces for communal living and informal interaction.
